Vintage and Antique Furniture

Our furniture area is filled with true antiques and classic vintage shapes and styles all cleaned, polished and maybe even up-cycled - ready for a new home.  If it's too big to fit in your car we can recommend a local courier.  If you're looking for something in particular, just ask one of our team and we will try our best to help you find it!   All of our furniture is pre-owned so expect some 'character'. 

Generally speaking, in the antiques trade, the term 'antique' refers to objects more than 100 years old.

Vintage has several different accepted meanings. It can be applied to an item that was made or was popular in a different era. In some cases 'vintage' may not even mean that it was produced in that era, but simply that it mimics the fashions of that era. The buyer should always bare this in mind as these days, many new items are given the prefix of 'vintage' when they are in fact not at all 'old'.

In terms of applying 'vintage' to a date then it is generally accepted that this refers to items that are approx 50 years old, but less than 100.
